Micromole is an early-stage company developing technology to meet serious biological, medical, and scientific needs. We are currently seeking a skilled Computer Scientist who is excited about applying their expertise in the context of biotechnology.

Job Description:

The Computer Scientist will be crucial to our efforts to advance the field of biotechnology through computational methods. The successful candidate will conduct quality research, develop and implement algorithms and computational models, and analyze complex data. This role requires a deep understanding of computer science, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong critical thinking skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to develop and apply computational methods in the context of biotechnological devices.

  • Design, implement, and test algorithms and computational models related to our biotechnology projects.

  • Analyze data to understand the results of experiments, validate computational models, and challenge or confirm existing theories.

  • Collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to achieve project goals.

  • Communicate research findings through reports, presentations, and scientific publications.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in computer science and biotechnology.

 

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience in computational research, particularly as it applies to biotechnology.

  • Strong theoretical and practical background in computer science.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing algorithms and computational models.

  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with high-tech biotechnology devices.

  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary research, integrating computer science and biology.

  • Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in the field of computer science and biotechnology.

  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics, such as Python or C.

  • Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence applications in biotechnology.
